Chorley got back to winning ways with a comfortable victory over crisis club Leigh Genesis, bringing an end to their season long unbeaten home league record. The troubles today's hosts are going through are well documented, and the loss of inflouential players Jonathan Smith and Chris Thompson will not have helped their preperatrion, but Steve Waywell has no control over the opposition and got his side to put in an excellent team performance with the hosts only looking dangferout in the final quarter hour. The opening goal arrived curtsey of an inch perfect Reece Kelly corner which simply nodded home Stuart Howson. In the second half Alex Porter almost scored, but saw his shot cleared off the line, but the second goal wasn't long arriving when Chris Amadi ran past the defence to fire home. XI: Zac Hibbert, Chris Smalley, Tom Walker, Stuart Howson, Wayne Maden, Aiden Kirkbride, Lee Shillito, Reece Kelly, Steve Burke, Chris Amadi, Alex Porter Subs: Danny Nolan, Chris Mason, Jamie Nay, Matthew Tindall, Craig Worrall Goals: STUART HOWSON (27), CHRIS AMADI (62) Att: 187 |
