PLAYER UPDATES | Squad Members Out On Loan

Such is the quality of players in each of this year’s Development Squads, that many of the older players have either already gone out on loan to other clubs in the area, or are due to be loaned out.

This is to help them in their development plan with the Magpies by gaining valuable experience playing regular football within a first team environment.

Since the beginning of the season, the lads have played only a handful of Lancashire League games due to unforeseen postponements and they understandably want to be playing competitive matches.

Of the current Under 21s, the following players are currently loaned out:

Prescot Cables – Louis Coyne, Jordan Southworth

AFC Liverpool – Ryan Farnworth

Skelmersdale Utd – Jordan Darr, Tyler Rufus, Jack Lenehan

Mossley – Declan Evans

West Didsbury – Callum Darcy to go out on loan this week

Another four players are due to go out on loan next week.

The Development Squad managers regularly go out to watch the lads in action, keeping a close eye on those who have been identified as having the potential to develop their game further.  They also seek feedback from other club managers as to how the players perform in training and in competitive games, just as the Chorley Senior Squad management ask for updates as to how the lads are developing.

With a number of Under 21s out on loan, this paves the way for some of the shining lights from the Under 18s to be signed up, and four are due to put pen to paper at training on Tuesday.  This is in advance of the Under 21’s next scheduled league game, away to Leeds-based RIASA West, this Saturday KO 2pm.
