BREAKING | David Chadwick Moves On

CHORLEY FC Development Squad manager David Chadwick has decided to leave the club after eighteen months at Victory Park.

After leading the Under 21s to the Galaxy Lancashire West league title last season, he has stepped down after being offered the Development Squad manager role at FC United of Manchester.

Chadwick played for The Red Rebels for seven years, wearing the captain’s armband in nearly every match, and lead the side during their rise from the North West Counties second tier to Evo-Stik Premier Division.

He said: “I would like to thank everyone at Chorley for their support since I helped to form the Development Squad. It’s a great club to have been a part of and I’d like to wish them all the best for the future.”

Chadwick leaves the Development Squad in a positive position.  Although they have played just five matches so far this season, they can boast a 100% win rate in the league.  A handful of players who have good prospects for the future have been loaned out to other non league teams in the area to gain playing time for first team squads. Others have represented the main team in both cup and league games this season.

We are pleased to confirm that Chadwick’s assistant, Paul Greenacre has agreed to step up to the manager role and will take charge of the Development Squad for their next league game, away to Leeds-based RIASA West this Saturday.

Everyone at Chorley FC would like to thank David for his time at Victory Park and would like to wish him all the very best for the future.
