LOAN MOVE | Pratt Seals a Deal at Seel Park

We are pleased to confirm that another one of our youngsters has impressed the Development Squad management, and so has gone out on loan.

Frontman Harry Pratt has joined Mossley AFC, initially until the end of December.

Manager David Chadwick was quick to praise the young striker.  ‘Harry is big and strong, with footballing skills beyond his years.’  He added ‘I’ve played against him in training so I know just how strong he can be.  Plus he knows how to pick out a goal.’

Chaddy was quick to confirm why Pratt has been loaned out. ‘Although we’ve started very well in the league again, with five wins out of five, it’s not all about the results for me.  As the name suggests, we are a development squad, so its all about recognising players’ potential and helping them on their way to senior football.’

He added ‘Harry has the ability to play for our first team, however he needs game time in competitive football first which is why I’m delighted that Mossley have taken him on loan.’

Everyone at Chorley wishes Harry all the best for his time at Seel Park.

LOAN MOVE | Farnworth joins AFC Liverpool

Such is the successs of the Chorley FC Development Squad that we have been able to send out another player out on loan.

Junior Captain Ryan Farnworh has joined North West Counties side AFC Liverpool as he starts the next stage of his development towards senior football.  Speaking about the loan Ryan told U21 Secretary Paul Metcalfe 'This is a great opportunity for me to get some first team football and develop as a player at AFC Liverpool.  I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead.'

Ryan goes straight into the AFC Liverpool squad and is in contention for a place vs AFC Darwen on Saturday.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Ryan all the best in your loan move.

FIVE ALIVE | Under 21s in fifth straight win

The Development Squad notched up a superb fifth straight win on Thursday night at a cold Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium.

For the second placed Magpies, it was a forgetful start as they got caught out at the back after just 38 seconds and the visitors slotted home; this being the first time the lads had conceded in over 180 minutes of football.

It didn't take long before the home side replied however, as new signing Jack Everest netted after 18 minutes.  Everest, who signed on the line from Ramsbottom United on the night opened the floodgates with Harry Pratt taking the lead from the spot just before the half hour mark, and former Blackpool youngster Tyler Rufus adding a third just two minutes later.

After half time, the Magpies found time to add two more to seal a 5-1 win with a second for Rufus and the industrious Jordan Darr rounding off the night with eight minutes to go.

The next two fixtures are both away from home:

AFC DARWEN v CHORLEY FC - Thursday 23 November KO 1945

AFC FYLDE v CHORLEY FC - Thursday 30 November KO 1945 (game to be played at Kellernergh Park)
