POSTPONED | Chorley FC v AFC Darwen

With the dreadful weather this week, which continued overnight and into today, there is standing water on the pitch at the Chorley Group Victory Park.

As the forecast for later today doesn't show an improvement, a decision has been made to postpone the game.

The next scheduled fixture for the Development Squad is away to AFC Darwen, next Thursday at 7.45pm

DEVELOPMENT SQUAD MATCH PREVIEW | RIASA West Away

While the senior squad make the relatively short journey to Curzon Ashton on Saturday, the Development Squad travel across The Pennines to face RIASA West.

The junior Magpies played the Leeds-based USA college team under the floodlights at Victory Park back in September with the home side running out 2-1 winners.  Since then, the Chorley youngsters have continued their unbeaten run and currently sit at the top of the Galaxy Lancashire League West with a maximum eighteen points from their six games played.

According to non league expert Simon Sandiford (@simonupnorth) the Development Squad is one of just ten North West based clubs all the way from the Premiership down to Step 26 of the football pyramid who have won every single game so far this season.

Whilst the lads will be wanting to maintain that enviable record, RIASA will want to climb the table, currently in eighth place, with seven points from five games so far. A mix of results have seen the Americans win two, draw one and lose two of their matches.

With a number of the Under 21s out on loan to continue their development, the squad tomorrow will see a mix of existing squad members, new signings and the promotion of one of the Under 18s to the 21s.

The match, which will take place on 3G at the Westwood Hall Conference Centre and Hotel in Leeds, kicks off at 2pm.  See the squad line up, half time and full time scores on our twitter feed at @Chorley_FC_U21
