Chorley have now gone six games away from home without a win, drawing 1-1 against relegation-threatened Brackley Town at St. James Park writes Jack Wynne.

Glen Walker opened the scoring for the home side, capitalizing on a poor clearance by Andy Teague and curling the ball beyond Chorley goalkeeper Sam Ashton.

The Magpies equalized through Andy Teague in the 69th minute, who latched onto Paul Jarvis’ corner before powering the ball into the back of the net.

Mark Ross looked to test Brackley goalkeeper Sam Hornby but his shot from the edge of the box sailed wide of the target in the 16th minute.

The Saints were ahead in the 20th minute, Glen Walker curling a shot past Ashton from inside the box after Teague failed to clear David Moyo’s cross.

Courtney Meppen-Walter picked out Darren Stephenson on the left, who cut inside before hitting a low shot wide of the left-hand post from inside the box.

40 minutes played, Jake Cottrell hit a fierce shot from outside the box which narrowly edged over the bar.

Into the second half, Moyo struck a powerful shot from outside the box but it was too close to Ashton.

Paul Jarvis failed to test Hornby after a good passage of play from Chorley, receiving the ball just outside the box before curling a shot straight into the stand.

Captain Andy Teague headed the Magpies level, diverting Paul Jarvis’ corner beyond Hornby at the near post.

Into the final quarter of an hour, Stephenson looked for a winner, turning on the edge of the box before dragging a shot past the right-hand post.

79 minutes played, Kieran Charnock wasted a good opportunity, meeting Jarvis’ long free-kick before heading the ball straight over the bar from inside the box.

Substitute Tom Winters drilled in a cross from the left but Moyo couldn’t control his shot, blazing a first-time effort high of the target in the 85th minute.

Will Beesley looked to test Hornby in the final stages of the game, his powerful shot sailing wide of the target.
