Chorley secured a trio of victories at Victory Park, easing to a 2-0 win over Curzon Ashton writes Jack Wynne.

Chorley were ahead after just two minutes, Jordan Connerton heading the ball in off the post after Curzon goalkeeper Hakan Burton could only parry Darren Stephenson’s shot from the edge of the box.

Adam Roscoe added his name to the scoresheet, on his 300th appearance for the Magpies, diverting Dale Whitham’s delivery straight into the top corner.

Connerton could have double his tally shortly after but dragged his shot wide after Burton was caught in no man’s land.

Joe Guest looked to test Sam Ashton for the first time in the match, but his low shot was wide of the left-hand post, in the 22nd minute.

Connerton had another chance to double his tally, prodding the ball just wide of the right-hand post after Jake Cottrell’s cross from the left-hand side.

Stephenson looked to test Burton, latching onto Ross’ long pass before cutting inside and firing straight at the Curzon goalkeeper.

At the other end, Ryan Brooke sent arrowed a free-kick narrowly over the bar from outside the box with six minutes of the first half remaining.

Roscoe doubled the Magpies’ lead two minutes before the interval, firing straight into the top-right corner from inside the box, following Whitham’s corner.

61 minutes played, Whitham had a glorious chance to make it three, heading the ball straight into Buxton’s hands following Jack Lynch’s right-hand cross.

Roscoe looked to double his tally, directing a powerful header wide of the right-hand post after Whitham’s corner.

Whitham had another chance to test Burton but his curling effort from inside the box was too close to Burton.
