Andy Teague had a good opportunity to test Spiess, latching onto substitute Adam Roscoe’s headed pass but his header was wide of the target.
Felix’s drilled effort from outside the box was marginally wide of the right-hand post, much to the delight of Ashton.
Ashton made a mesmerizing save to deny Felix’s driven close-range shot which seem destined for the bottom-left corner before the same player rattled the post with a curling effort seconds later.
Stephenson added his name to the scoresheet, volleying home from six yards after Mills had blocked a low shot from him on the line seconds earlier.
Substitute Lewis Hilliard tried to grab a late consolation for the visitors but he rifled the ball straight over the bar from just outside the box.
