Andy Bond scored the decisive goal to complete an impressive comeback from 2-0 down as Chorley won 3-2 against Fylde at Victory Park writes Jack Wynne.
The visitors went ahead courtesy of Brad Barnes, his curled effort from outside the box sailing past Sam Ashton in the 5th minute.
Chorley found themselves further behind four minutes later, Danny Rowe chipping Ashton superbly from distance.
Jack Lynch reduced the deficit for Chorley just after the 20 minute mark, diverting Adam Roscoe’s cross past Fylde goalkeeper Matt Urwin.
The Magpies were back on level terms 14 minutes later, Jordan Connerton quickest to react glancing the ball into the back of the net after Lynch’s initial shot was saved.
Bond fired Chorley in front with just over twenty minutes remaining, stroking the ball past Urwin from close range.
Fylde took the lead just five minutes into the match, Barnes curling a shot into the top corner from outside the box.
Danny Lloyd had a chance to double Fylde’s just two minutes later, his header from close range just flying past the wrong side of the post.
Nine minutes played, The Coasters increased their advantage further, Rowe with a deft chip over Ashton from outside the box.
Lynch pulled a goal back for Chorley in the 21st minute, directing Roscoe’s cross beyond Fylde goalkeeper Urwin.
At the other end, Lloyd forced a good save from Ashton, his arrowing shot from inside the box being pushed away by the Chorley goalkeeper.
Dion Charles tried an audacious lob from distance, but the ball just veered the wrong side of the post, much to Ashton’s delight.
Jordan Connerton pulled Chorley level in the 34th minute, bundling the ball home from close range after Jack Lynch’s initial shot from inside the box was parried by Urwin.
36 minutes played, Andy Bond took aim from outside the box but failed to hit the target, his shot veering wide.
Rowe looked to test Ashton with a free-kick but he could not find a way through the Chorley wall.
Dom Collins almost caught Ashton out with a looping header but the Chorley goalkeeper just pushed the ball over the bar.
A minute before the interval, Adam Roscoe tried his luck from distance but it was straight at Urwin.
11 minutes into the second half, Lynch looked to test Urwin but his shot from distance was straight over the bar.
Rowe almost salvaged a point for the Coasters in the 87th minute, his free-kick from outside the box flying straight at Ashton.
Andy Teague looked to catch Urwin off guard, lobbing the ball from outside the box but the Fylde stopper just got a hand to it.
Lynch shaped up from long range and hit an arrowing shot but failed to direct his effort on target.
Chorley took the lead in the 69th minute, Bond glancing the ball past Urwin from close range after a scramble in the box.
77 minutes played, Danny Rowe had a chance to equalize for the away side but his powerful shot from outside the box was directed straight at Ashton.
