Chorley 0-4 Skelmersdale United 27/10/2009

Tuesday October 27th, 7.45pm

Chorley's unbeaten home record in the league came to a thumping end against Skelmersdale United.

The Magpies started brightly with Danny Nolan hitting the bar and Chris Amadi smashing into the side nutting.

Shorlty after Skem's first attempt at goal, which was a quick counter that saw a volley go just over, Wayne Maden was harshly booked for a foul on the half way line when many thouight he actually got the ball cleanly!

On 37 minutes Ryan Wade turned Chris Smalley in the edge of the six yard box before fireing past Zac Hibbert to open the scoring.

Chorley's hopes of a come back where dashed when Jamie Vermiglio limped off shortly before half time and all hope was all but lost when Maden was sent off for a second bookable offence when again it looked a harsh decision. Michael White made no mistake with the penalty.

With ten men Chorley were always going to be under the cosh against an established Skem side who moved the ball quickly and have pace in abundance throughout the team.

After the bright start to the game Chorley lacked any punch up front and Terry Fearns looked out of sorts.

Two goal in two minutes completed the scoring, with Adam Kozlowski putting past his own keeper making it a night to forget for the home team.
