A late rally wasn't enough to claw back a two goal deficit as the club's first ever visit to Kellamerge Park ended in defeat.
In the opening half an hour Chorley had he majority of the possession, but tame shooting in this period and throughout the match, cost the team the change to extend the current run to six wins in seven.
Zac Hibbert had to be alert with the pace Fylde have in their attack, and came to the rescue several times in the 90 minutes, yet at the other end Steve Burke, Danny Nolan and Chris Amadi all saw tame shots easily gathered by the home keeper.
The opening goal arrived in somewhat controversial circumstances with Wayne Maden being dispossess by way appeared to be a push; Fylde then broke and Chorley born Michael Barnes fired the home side into the lead.
The team then failed to gather their thoughts and were caught out almost immediately for the second goal, with ex-Bamber Bridge player Matt Mahoney scoring.
Nolan hit the post in they dying minutes of the open period, but it wasn't until the 64th minute when Alex Porter's free-kick was finished by Lee Shillito did the Magpies reassert there presence on the game.
Despite chasing the win and creating enough chances to win the game, including further contacts with the woodwork, the home custodian did enough when required to ensure the home side collected the day's spoils!
