Defender

Joined the club in December 2013.

Can play at either right back or central defence.  He played at youth team level for Preston and Blackpool before being snapped up by Scottish Premier side Hibernian at the age of 19.

After just over 12 months with the Hibees he moved on to Kettering Town, Warrington Town then played lower league football in Sweden, captaining Ånge IF to a league title before returning to England with Skrill North side Barrow earlier this season.

Alex MEANEY

Midfielder

A left footed attacking midfielder, Alex joined the Magpies from Stockport County in August 2013.

A Myerscough College graduate, Alex played in the Evo-Stik League while he continued his studies before joined the Hatters in September 2012.

He spent a month on loan at Nantwich Town toward the end of the 2012/13 season.

Has also captained the England Colleges under 19’s squad at the Caput Mundi Roma Under 19′s Football competition and was selected “Player of the Tournament”.

A real leader and organiser on the pitch, Paul joined from Prestatyn in the summer of 2013 after helping the Welsh Premier side qualify for Europe.

A powerful left winger who can also play at left back.  Skilful and fast and always gives 100% to the cause.

Originally at Burnley for four years working his way through the ranks of the youth, reserve and ultimately the first team, he also represented Lancashire at schoolboy level.

Was voted the Players' Player of the Year for 2011/12.

Jack CUDWORTH

Goalkeeper

The son of former Magpies central defender Night, Jack joined the Magpies in August 20120 from Blue Square Premier side AFC Telford United.

The 21-year-old started his career at Preston North End, working his way through youth system at Deepdale to the reserve side.  He then moved into the League of Wales with Welshpool and Rhyl, where he caught the eye of then Football League side Macclesfield Town and went on to spend two seasons with the Silkmen.

He returned to Rhyl on loan and then finished last season in the Blue Square Premier while on loan with Barrow, where he was highly rated by their management team.  However he opted to join their league rivals Telford during the summer of 2012.

Though initially reluctant to step down the divisions, Jack has opted to join the Magpies and is excited at the prospect of playing for his home town team and is looking forwards to playing his part in a successful season.

Cameron joined the Magpies following a brief stint at Ilkeston FC.

Can through the ranks at Stockport County and was unlucky to be released by The Hatters as part of a cost cutting exercise.

Central Midfielder

Steve, the youngest of the Flitcroft brothers, joined the Magpies in the summer of 2010.

He played along side Tom Ince at both Leigh and Bamber Bridge.  Like Garry, the England Schoolboy’s player was also at Blackburn Rovers for five years until the age of 19 when he moved to neighbours Accrington Stanley, serving a successful five years and helping them towards three league titles.
