Scott HARRIES

Position: Winger

Former clubs: None

Youngster Scott made his full Chorley debut in the 2-2 Good Friday 2009 draw with Salford City at Victory Park, the first game after Tony Hesketh left the club.

Having so far played wearing the number 11 shirt, Scott has been a reliable replacement for the injured winger Roger Sharrock and there’s undoubtedly more to come from Scott in future.

Roger SHARROCK

Position: Winger

Former clubs: Blackburn Rovers, Trimpell/Slyne

Roger has been a key player on the wing and a real crowd favourite over the course of the 08/09 season, The youngster’s blue boots have been the doom of many a full-back during the past campaign, and we look forward to seeing more of the same at Victory Park from Roger in future.

Max ROTHWELL

Position: Centre-midfielder/Winger

Former clubs: None

Having been involved in the youth and reserve teams, Max has played a handful of first team games in the 08/09 season and looks a youngster with bags of potential on the flank and in the middle.

Martin CLARK

Position: Defender

Former clubs: Preston North End, Accrington Stanley, Crewe Alexandra, Southport, Rotherham United, Southport, Burscough & Lancaster City

Veteran ‘Clarky’ is a vastly experienced defender with bags of knowledge from his time at Rotherham playing under Ronnie Moore in the Football League, and also his spells with Southport in the Conference and also time at Lancaster City.

A great character, Martin has been sidelined for long spells of the 08/09 season due to a back injury, but has won various awards since signing for the Magpies in summer 2005, not least Supporters’ Club Player of the Year for the 07/08 season, along with various other accolades.

MARTIN RETIRED EN FEBRUARY 2010 FOLLOWING A STRING OF KNEE INJURIES AT THE AGE OF 39 

Lee SHILLITO

Position: MIDFIELDER

Former clubs: Leigh RMI, Mossley

Lee has suffered terrible luck with injuries since signing for the Magpies in the summer of 2007, having two lengthy spells out of action.

On his return to full fitness in November 2009 he went on to play a key role in the team throughout the remainder of the season.

Josh KENWORTHY

Position: Winger/Forward

Former clubs: None

Since bursting onto the first team scene from the reserves in the latter reaches of the 08/09 season, Josh has been a revelation, scoring as a sub against Lancaster City, and making his full debut at Irongate on Easter Monday 2009 against Bamber Bridge, where Josh scored the Magpies’ goal in a 1-1 draw.

Gordon WATSON

Position: Forward

Former clubs: Turton

At 6’7” he is one of the tallest player to have appeared for the Magpies.  He is an obious threat from set plays.

Joined Chorley from West Lancashire League side Turton and boasted a record of four goals in four games for the Reserves in 2008/09 prior to making his first team debut.

Danny NOLAN

Position: Forward

Former clubs: Blackburn Rovers Youth

Never-say-die striker Danny has been in and out of the Chorley side over the past two seasons, after being signed in summer 2007 by then-manager Gerry Luczka. A trier to the last, Danny is Chorley born and bred.

Danny McGAHAN

Position: Midfielder/Forward

Former clubs: Morecambe, Maltese Football

Danny made a sensational entrance to Chorley, as a sub on Boxing Day 2008, when he set up Adam Farrell for the match-sealing goal in a 3-1 win over local rivals Bamber Bridge, and since then, whether on the bench or in the starting eleven, the livewire has proven a test for defenders and opposing PA announcers ever since!

Danny, a Bolton lad, has experience of playing in Malta too. Winger/Striker.

Danny FINCH

Position: Defender

Former clubs: Preston North End

A regular in the side of 08/09, Danny was signed in summer 2008 after being released from Preston North End and has mainly occupied a full-back role for the Magpies.

Chris BROOKS

Position: Midfielder

Former clubs: Ramsbottom United, Bamber Bridge, Rossendale United

Was Rossendale's longest serving player, having joined them in 2001 until he joined the Magpies at the beginning of Paul Lodge's reign as manager at the beginning of 2006/07 season.

Leading scored in two of his five years at Dark Lane, Chris should help boost the Magpies goal talley from midfield.

Struggled with injuries during his time at Victory Park.

Toward the end of 2008/09 season Chris's injury problems looked to have finally got the better of him and he started to look toward a career in management, applying unsuccessfuly for the vancancy at Victory Park following Tony Hesketh's departure.
