CHORLEY FC are pleased to announce the loan signing of 19-year-old Darren Stephenson from Blue Square Premier side Southport.
The Jamaican born striker came through the ranks at Bradford City, making one a single first team appearance at Valley Parade, but enjoyed loan spells as Hinckley United, Woodley Sports, Stocksbridge Park Steels and Southport, where he netted twice in six appearances at the end of last season.
He joined the Sandgrounders on permanent basis in the summer of 2012.
He is a quick and hardworking player with a big future in the game and will be in contention for a place in the squad tomorrow to face Ilkeston FC alongside fellow new signing, goalkeeper Jack Cudworth who joined earlier this week from AFC Telford United.
