All square in Jack Kirkland Trophy

CHORLEY kicked-off their pre-season programme with a 1-1 draw in the Jack Kirkland Trophy against a string Preston North End side.

Former Chorley starlet Lee Trundle, marked his first appearance at Victory Park in fifteen years with the opener but Ciaran Kilheeney finished off a team goal to level the score just before half time.

The Magpies gave debuts to three summer signing, Andy Robertson, Simon Garner and Kieran Walmsley, while it was good to seal Tom Walker and Dale Whitham on the pitch before kick-off on their way back from serious injuries suffered last season.
