FA CUP | Magpies win to net Fleetwood tie

After an amazing evening of football, Chorley have finally ended their 27 year absence from the FA Cup 1st round following a pulsating FOUR-THREE extra-time victory over Boston United.

A hat-trick from Nick Haughton and some fine saves from Matt Urwin helped secure the victory and a home tie against their parent club, Fleetwood Town, which will be played on the first weekend of November; date as yet to be confirmed.

Now we are through to the first round the club can officlally announce that neither Matt Urwin or Nick Haughton will be able to play against Fleetwood Town in the first round.  Both players are on season long loans with Chorley, but due to Football Association rules players cannot play against their parent club while on loan.

The good news is both players will be available to play in the rest of the competition for us!!!
